The Foundation of Hope for Children’s Hospitals is pleased to report that as a result of our 2005 fundraisers and donations, we were able to distribute funds to 5 children’s hospitals across Canada. The 3rd Annual Great Pumpkin Ball raised $3500 for Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, with $1000 from the 2005 Touchdown Boat Cruise and other donations, totalling $4500 for 2005. All of this money will aid the “I Can Talk, Too” program. Donations plus proceeds from the 2005 Touchdown Boat Cruise enabled us to send $1000 each to: Alberta Children’s Hospital (Calgary) Royal University Hospital (Saskatoon) Montreal Children’s Hospital Janeway Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre (St. John‘s, NF). Many thanks to the owners and staff of Rossini’s Gastown for donating the venue and restaurant service for the third year in a row for our Halloween fundraiser, and to our many donors for both the 3rd Annual Great Pumpkin Halloween Ball and the 2005 Touchdown Boat Cruise. Thanks also too to the Harbour Cruise staff for the great service on the 2005 Touchdown Boat Cruise. And, of course, THANK YOU to our volunteers and partygoers that made these events successful!!
